Many children enrolled in Medicaid receive no dental services throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>Give Kids A Smile is held annually to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide free, easily accessible dental services to qualifying individuals<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness of the epidemic of untreated dental disease occurring locally and nationally and create local public and private partnerships to increase access to oral health care to solve this crisis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Medical Education Campus of Northern Virginia Community College opened its doors to local children from around Northern Virginia for the <strong>2016 Give Kids A Smile\u00a9 <\/strong>event. \u201cWe were delighted to be a part of the team that helped deliver vital dental care to children from our local community. The event, sponsored by the Northern Virginia Dental Society, provided free dental services to 490 at-risk preschoolers primarily from Arlington County. NOVA\u2019s Medical Education Campus hosts this event in February each year. \u201cPreventive care is critical to maintaining good dental health and overall well-being, and we will continue to participate in efforts to help those who need it\u201d says Dr. Young.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About Fairfax Dental Group<\/h2>\n<p>Dr. Brenda J.
